Skip Snow
Founder, Chief Executive Officer


Skip Snow is a seasoned technologist and entrepreneur with a history of success pioneering application architecture for some of the largest corporations in the world. Most recently, Skip served as Vice President of Information and Technology Architecture at Kaiser Permanente, the largest nonprofit Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) in the U.S. In this role, Skip was charged with developing the information and technology architecture for Kaiser’s enterprise.

Prior to Kaiser, Skip worked as Chief Architect of Service Oriented Architecture at Citigroup, the largest financial conglomerate in the world. He has also held positions at a number of smaller companies, and began his IT career as a programmer at the Columbia University Medical School.

Skip is the former chair of the Web Service Interoperability Organization's Standards Group
(WS-I) and a member of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3) Web Service Policy working group. He is no stranger to the startup world, and is regularly consulted by venture firms for his insight regarding enterprise technology. A native of New York, Skip now lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Howie Schechtman
Founder, Chief Operating Officer


Howie is an IT Executive with over 25 years of financial industry experience managing a variety of technology functions including consumer facing websites, high availability systems, large-scale development and product development.

Prior to joining HIPAA Box, Howie served as Senior Vice President at Citibank, where he was the IT executive responsible for Citi’s Online Internet banking. At Citi, he led and managed some of the most innovative product development teams delivering breakthrough consumer facing products and operational efficiency. He has a passionate commitment to the end user and his teams have a history of delivering exceptional user experiences. He shares many design patents, which span specialized ATM user interfaces for the visually challenged, as well as innovative ways to transfer money.

Howie was also, Executive Vice President of Applications at Countrywide Bank, where he was responsible for providing strategic leadership across all core retail and commercial banking applications which included Countrywide Bank’s consumer internet banking websites, customer service and branch support systems.

Howie earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Steven Institute of Technology in New Jersey and attended graduate studies in business at Pace University, New York.

Henry Lichstein
Acting – Chief Financial Officer

Henry Lichstein is Managing Partner with Dryad Partners, his consulting company. He takes interim CEO/CFO roles, consults for technology companies, and serves on boards.

From 1970 to 2000 Henry was with Citibank, holding positions in financial control, treasury, technology strategy, and advanced development efforts. For much of the time at Citi, he reported to John Reed, doing the early work on Citi’s commercial Web sites, early Smart Card and Electronic Commerce activities, speaking on E-Commerce in China, and making a number of successful technology investments. He had been Regional Treasurer in Nairobi, Kenya, in the Treasurer’s Office, was the Consumer Group’s Financial Controller, Treasurer, and Chief of Staff. He wrote a report for the Group of 30 on Clearance and Settlement in the world’s securities markets.

After Citibank, Henry joined Palisades Ventures, where he made broadband technology investments and worked with venture companies, becoming a Venture Partner in 2007. He spent a year as Interim CEO of RGE Monitor, an economics information web site in New York City, and a year as Interim CFO at Lucix, a satellite communications company in Camarillo, CA, ending in July, 2009.
Henry obtained BS degrees in Electrical Engineering (1965) and in Economics (1966), and an MS in Management (1966), all at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Henry was Chairman of the Board of Lucix, is on the board of Intelligent Optical Systems, and was on the Board of Teradata (sold to AT&T). He was Chairman of the Summer Science Program, Inc., and was a Trustee of the Santa Fe Institute. He is on a Visiting Committee at MIT, was for ten years Treasurer of the New York Academy of Sciences, served on the Higher Education Issues Panel of the Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities, and helped write the National Academy of Sciences’ Study of the Impact of Information Technology on Service Activities. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he and his wife, Janine, and their son and his family live in Los Angeles.
